Two days left - time to rally

Actually, the rally was yesterday (Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear that is). I watched it yesterday primarily so I could form my own opinion first hand. I do like both comedians so the secondary reason to watch was for a laugh or two.
The music was great. The genres were diverse and well played by The Roots. The only performer I wasn't too familiar with was Kid Rock. I know who he is but I'm not a big listener of his work. This dates me, but I bought a copy of "Blizzard of Oz" when it first came out. Ozzy is cool but I was more into what Randy Rhoads was laying out on the guitar. I also played tuba in High School so I got a real kick out of the tuba player for The Roots.
The real question is, "Did anything I see yesterday change my mind?". The answer is, not much. It didn't change my vote because my ballot has already been dropped off. The only thing that became clearer is that I am an independent. I vote issues and people, not by party. This will annoy my "staunch" this or "staunch" that friends but the fact is that I do not line up well with just one party or another. I am not a member of the "Independent Party" so maybe I should just say I'm a "free thinker" voter. That sounds good, I can use it until someone comes out with "The Free Thinker Party". Maybe "No Party Party" will be what they choose to call it.
The anticipation of getting the results is growing. There are a lot of issues that I'm following (not so much the candidates) that I can't wait to see how the votes come out. I've tried to avoid all the negative ads and suspicious ones too. I'd rather read and form my own opinion. Like it has been said before, if you believe the ads then you can't vote for anyone or anything.
