It's about to get ugly

We are all about to see what government looks like when nothing can get done. There will be more action than last time since the election is over and politicians aren't as worried about covering their butts as they were before the election. It will also and be interesting to see if there is any idea good enough to get two thirds of the vote.

A few friends of mine have expressed a concern that the new law will tie the hands of our legislature. this would be a sad development if it turns out to be true. I hate to think that the only way we can get two thirds agreement is by having two thirds of one party in power. This may just mean that one party will only vote for what their party suggests or proposes.

We're long overdue to have both political parties work together to come up with things that benefit more than just their reelection. There is a big funding hole we will have to dig ourselves out of and things still seem to be getting worse rather than getting better. I am anxious to see what ideas are going to come out of Olympia.

Will it be the same old rehashed ideas or will there be a new spark of brilliance?

There just isn't a whole lot of new sources of revenue. I think everything that can be tapped for funding has been tapped already. It is going to take cuts, a lots of them, to be able to balance the budget over the next two years. My friends and family have had to cut back on their spending and that is what they want government to do. It seems as though every penny earned in revenue was spent as fast as it came in.

If anyone has the time to edit this post please feel free to send me my mistakes. I am trying out new software that does the typing for me while I talk into a microphone. I like how it works so far but I will not mention the brand because I'm not sure how much free advertisement I want to verbalize businesses.

I should have thought of this a while ago so I wouldn't have so much clothing with logos and brand names all over them. Oh well, I'll wear them until they wear out if my patience does not wear out first.

This post might be a little bit off base from working for idiots, but I haven't heard too much in the news lately to get pissed off about. I don't imagine it will take too much time before I hear or read something that brings me back on point.
